Last night I accidently gave Gus too much of his wormer. He is perfectly fine - he let me hold him for ten whole minutes then spat some of it out onto my shirt - but I, on the other hand, am not. I'm a lot calmer now than yesterday when I called the vet, but really, I'm new to all this.

Today I have to do a whole load of things, which is possibly why I woke up at 6.30 this morning. I just got paid and by lunchtime I will be down to £100 to last me the month. I'm not even being exceptionally frivolous.

I'm watching something called Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. When did TV for kids get this bad?

This week's Psych was my favourite of the year so far. The Chief was around, for one thing. I miss the Chief being at the centre of things. I really hope Henry goes back to being a consultant himself... in his own house... not telling Lassiter and Juliet what to do. But otherwise everyone was a little more sane this week, so I was happy. Lassiter didn't seem to hate Shawn (like last week), Shawn didn't seem to hate Lassiter (like last year) and the scene at the Psych office where Gus was hitting on Eugenia with Lassie and Jules watching, was the best scene of the year so far. They all seemed quite friendly towards each other so, kudos to Andy Berman for actually remembering some characterisation. The only thing I had a problem with was the way Lassiter and Juliet are acting towards each other. It's like the last four years never happened. They are best friends. They love each other. This has been established over and over. Even in the first episode this season (because it was Steve Franks writing and he at least still seems to know his characters). Why have they regressed? I'm hoping things will get back to normal soon.

While we're talking about Psych, I am writing fic which is pleasing me greatly, but fandom, why is there not more Shawn/Lassiter/Juliet fic out there? You cannot tell me that this is not hot. I can't actually see Gus being involved in any kind of orgy, but I think it's safe to say the other three are pretty kinky. And think how pretty it would be.

Now my day of chores begins. At least I'll have pretty hair to do it with.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is so not even the worst of kid's TV these days. Someone please explain Yo Gabba Gabba to me. Actually no - please don't.

I still have hope. When Tim answered questions like two weeks ago he talked about how one of the big changes this season was that Lassie and Jules were closer - so, considering they're filming what, ep 8? 9? I'm hoping he knows things we don't.

Still, I'm happy with that. I know I keep saying I want things like they were in season 1, but I don't mean just revert them to the first episode and pretend the last 4 years never happened.

Though in Shawn's case a reset button might come in handy.

I have really not been liking S5 a whole lot at all because it seems so much like they're sacrificing characterization in favor of whatever they think is funny. I did like this week's ep the best so far this season, but I'm rewatching S1 at the moment. I dunno. I've ranted about that elsewhere though.

And WOW, that fic was hot! I have been looking for Shassiet (Shawn/Lassie/Juliet) fic FOREVER and nobody has ever obliged me until now! I need more of that in my life.

Season 1 is still the best season to my mind and practically 15 episodes of sheer televisual perfection. I don't even like to compare, so I'm just trying to concentrate on the stuff that makes me happy, like Shawn not being quite as much of a jerk, which helps when he's the hero.

I just want them to be writing the characters I fell in love with, and not just turning everything into a joke.

Yeah, I'm surprised by how little there is. I know Psych is a small fandom, but it has some great writers and Shassiet (hehehe) isn't exactly a great leap for the imagination. I can see all three pairing on the show. Surely the answer is a threesome.

I think for the most part, except for a few odd episodes out here and there, they did at least write consistent character arcs up until now...where it just seems like everything's being sacrificed for the cheap jokes or to fit whatever the theme episode is. I try to focus on what makes me happy too...there hasn't been much of it in S5 yet though. Pulling out the S1 DVDs tonight made me happy though. =) Also...I like your icon. I need one w/ the four of them.

Need more Shassiet, Psych fandom! I've never written fic, so I'm not sure how well I'd do starting with a porny threesome, but I did just get a tooth pulled and am on drugs, so who knows! =P

If the only thing I could watch for the rest of my life was season 1 of Psych, I'd be perfectly happy. Maybe I'll do that today. Though I am meant to be watching it next weekend to introduce a friend to how awesome it is.
