Well Pretty Odd is what drew me into liking Panic and I guess that's what Ryan and Jon are working on, so I'm not worried. It's the best of both worlds.
I mostly came for the fic (I read it like originals, at first), and only got around to listening to all the bands later. But I did like the whole hippy-esque thing they had going. And yeah, we'll probably get both. That's not that bad a deal.
Hehehe. I was reading Jon/Spencer fic long before I knew anything about them or listened to the music. But then PO came out and I spent my holiday driving around Texas listening to it on repeat and I just fell in love.
I had that with basically everyone. And then, boom! I knew all their faces and instruments and all this completely random information, and I have a post where I go 'so, I started listening to their music as well, and MCR is weird. Too much screaming.' Makes me lol, now. I think listening to bandom-music also prompted me to finally go through all the MP3s hoarded over the years and throw lots of stuff out. It's quite the project. I got to M so far, I think.
I'm seeing it in a much more positive way now. Sure they're not going to be together all the time, but if there's two lots of enjoyable music and they still get to be friends, then I'm completely on board for that.
same here. I went through it seems like the stages of grief dealing with this but I'm in a good place with it now. Maybe I could have year long forms of panic, like when Brendon and Spencer are done promoting their album and are touring, Jon and Ryan will have something, maybe an EP, by then. Or something.
I wish I could hear the entire thing. Usually I avoid clips because I like to hear the entire album at least once in order, but I really needed this.
Yeah I think I did too. :) But today I'm thinking about all the good stuff that comes out of it. As you say, if they're on a different schedule that's more music, more touring. It'll all work out.

I can not decide if that is Brendon singing back up on that clip or not. it doesn't REALLY sound like Brendon (it almost sounds like a girl (not a soprano girl though) maybe), but then, it's Brendon, y'know?
