happiness is my default position

I had a wonderful weekend in London. I met my mum and sister on the train and my mum gave me a couple of presents, including ( this gorgeous bag. )

We walked around Covent Garden and then down to Trafalgar Square. ( Photos ) Then we went on a bus tour of the city. The weather was lovely, so it was nice to sit out in the open and see everything. Usually I find London far too busy and rushed, but we had a lovely day, so maybe it's just the "getting to the airport via London" part I hate.

On Satuday night we went to see Wicked. I think it's the best thing I've ever seen on stage. Ashleigh Gray and Dianne Pilkington were amazing. I wanted to go straight back and see it again. The seats were perfect. It was the best birthday present. ( Photos )

Yesterday we went for a walk through ( Hyde Park ) and saw the statue of ( Peter Pan. ) We went to Harrods, (now that place I do hate - one member of staff was so rude I wanted to punch her in the face,) and Hamleys, where my sister bought me a beautiful ( Slytherin pen. )

It was a fabulous birthday and weekend. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you to everyone who sent me a birthday message. You're all wonderful. ♥

See what I did there? No, probably not.

Thoughts and feelings on day two are too long and muddled to be put down here. Other people have said it better here, here and here.

I am sad. It hurts. It will get better. Maybe I'll even be able to write that Disneyland sequel one day. Just not any day soon. I'm staying in bandom. I still have FOB and Cobra and lots of nice friends. I just need to take a step back.

And so I have signed up for the Harry Potter Big Bang. \o/ 15k by November. Piece of cake. Now I just need to think of a plot.

In other news, I finished watching Arrested Development. How could they cancel that show? That awesome, wonderful, ridiculous show. I can't wait for the film.

And, my sister and I are going to see Wicked for my birthday in September. Woo hoo!

EDIT: Also? Torchwood is damn good this season.
