Tonight I went to see the National Theatre's Live production of Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Creature and Johnny Lee Miller as Frankenstein.
I will try to do a review of some sort at the weekend once I have my mind sorted out about it, but I can say right now that BC gave such an amazing and emotional performance that I was moved to tears. He was absolutely outstanding and I adore him all the more.
Next week I'm going to see it played with the roles reversed, which should be interesting.
I'm also very impressed by being able to see plays and opera and ballet from the comfort of the a cinema in York. It would have cost a fortune to see that in London (and I don't mean the ticket price either). I will definitely be doing it again.

Date: 2011-03-18 09:50 am (UTC)I really love that the National Theatre are showing plays live in cinemas, I would never have been able to afford to see it otherwise. Hopefully a lot more of these events will happen.
