What have I been doing lately?
Well Friday I had a fabulous day off work and Monday was a bank holiday; I haven't had a weekend to myself in months so it was nice to have a four day weekend to just relax and enjoy myself. I did a lot of catching up with TV and I went to the cinema. (Reviews below).
Unfortunately though, last night at 4am the fire alarm went off. There was no fire, but it took 7 hours for the engineer to come and fix it. We were told by the management company we couldn't turn off the sounder without being fined, so we had to stay awake with the noise blaring until 11am. Needless to say, I couldn't go to work. I'm exhausted and my head is still aching. I'm going to bed as soon as I can.
Not as good as the first, but then I wasn't expecting it to be, as sequels rarely are. I still loved the film. RDJ is so wonderful. I think I could just sit and stare at him for two hours. He wouldn't even have to do anything. I love Tony and Pepper's relationship. I was glad they got to evolve and kiss. (YAY!) The shipper in me was satisfied. I love Gwyneth Paltrow and Sam Rockwell was amazing, (I hope we see Justin Hammer again).
If you aren't watching Community, why the hell not? It's the best new show this season. Yes it's better than Glee. It makes me happy. It makes me laugh. It has a very pretty cast. And I'm not just saying all of this because I've been on the set. It's TRUE.
We're what, 3 episodes from the end? I can't wait. This season has been another exciting one, for me at least. I love the alt-world. Can't wait to see how it ends. My opinion of all the characters seems to change from week to week. My only complaint so far - not enough Boone and no Shannon at all.
The first episode wasn't great (apart from Idina Menzel) and I still have my issues with this show, but the Madonna episode was good and the lastest episode was brilliant. Brittany and Santana are possibly my otp now (after Quinn and Puck. I ♥ Quinn) and Kurt's dad is the best TV dad of all time. Better than Sandy Cohen! Also, reading the synopsis of the next episode, there's no way (spoiler) going to be better than Juliet's version on Psych. Just saying.
I have to admit, I didn't give a damn about Chuck and Sarah as a couple at any point throughout their courtship, but now they're together they are adorable and fun and I have to congratulate the show on actually getting to the point and making it interesting. Morgan being part of the team is also possibly the greatest thing to happen on this show.
I felt more sad about the Penny/Leonard break-up than I thought I would, but to honest, two minutes into this week's episode and I was back to not caring. Yay Penny/Sheldon!
I love Matt Smith. He is the greatest Doctor since Peter Davison in my opinion. Amy too has been a great companion so far and Steven Moffat has not let me down so far in terms of writing and show running (I had faith he wouldn't, I've been a fan of his for 20 years).
