What I liked

1. The whole opening sequence. The stupid man with the saw (DUDE! Are you insane?). The little girl not being too creepy, but still a little bit off. The gorgeous mother who reminded me of Angelina Jolie.

2. Sam doing exactly what I said last week and completely ignoring Dean. Sam is going to save his brother no matter what. He's going to move Heaven and Hell and everything in between and if he dies in the process, tough. Oh Sam.

3. Dean going from horny to paternal in under 5 seconds. Proof that Dean would be the best dad in the whole wide world. And he really wanted it too. He wanted the cute and cool little son. I'm imagining how happy he would have been if Sam and Jessica had had kids and he could have been cool Uncle Dean who turned up every month or so and spoiled them rotten.

4. Ben. Ben should have been Dean's kid. He was awesome and funny and I adored him.

5. The scary kids. What is it about this show and scary little girls? They freak me out.

6. Sam finally starting to piece things together and investigate what happened to Mary. I'm so excited!

7. That Ruby is a demon and... well that's it.

What I didn't like

1. I may be in the minority in fandom but I don't care. I don't like Sera Gamble. Her scripts often get clunky and I'm really, really hoping that the reason for the next point is that it was badly scripted.

2. Ruby. Again. Like I said I hope it was the scripting. The idea of a cool demon girl who wants to "help" Sam is one I like and I want to like her. So far she's just irritated me. I'm hoping that's going to improve. Often I just need one thing to switch me from hate to love, but so far it hasn't happened.

Overall rating

B. Nice story. Good comedic moments. Dean was smoking hot as always and Sam is the most awesome little brother in the world.
