Tuesday Night - A Scanner Darkly

Being able to take your drink from the bar into a film is a source of great joy. Especially when you are discussing crazy fangirls and the fact that monayboyd-ers and domlij-ers have more to amuse themselves with that poor vigorli fans.

Keanu Reeves is a far better actor when he's been transformed into a cartoon. Robert Downey Jr is hot and I still love him to bits. I got one twist but not the other and left feeling a little wtf? about the whole thing. It was very good but rather depressing.

Wednesday Afternoon - Edinburgh Castle and Galleries

I finally managed to go to the castle and took the audio tour, which made for an enjoyable couple of hours. I also saw the gun fired at one o'clock and was greatly amused by the murmurs from the people watching when they realised it was a woman and not a man who be firing it.

I then went to the Mueck exhibition and the Benson exhibition, which were both fascinating for different reasons. Highly recommended.

Wednesday Evening

Berry took me to possibly the coolest bar I've ever been in and we lay (yes lay, that's why it was so fab) for a few hours having important conversations about important things, such as who would be best suited to playing Aziraphale and Crowley in a film version of Good Omens. Yes wanting to see David Tennant and Johnny Depp snogging flirting is a good enough reason to cast them.

Thursday

We went for a lovely walk. I may have mentioned how much I want to move to Scotland, but now I really, really want to move to Scotland. It's just gorgeous. Then we had lunch and sat in the park for an hour until it was time to leave.

*squishes Berry* I had such a lovely time. Thank you for everything. You know you're always welcome to come and stay with me in York.

I think Dom and Billy are a little too friendly to be believable. There's no real tension between them.
