Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

As it's Sherlock Holmes' birthday today I thought I'd post my review for the movie, as
hils and I went to see it on Wednesday.
I think I should have seen it before watching Sherlock on TV last Sunday, because I couldn't help comparing the two and as much fun as this was, it's not really Sherlock Holmes for me anymore. It's Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law flirting for and a bit hours and there's nothing wrong with that, but as I said I couldn't help comparing it and coming up short.
The film itself was an enjoyable romp across Europe. I loved the ending between Moriarty and Holmes on the balcony; their fight, all in their heads, and then Holmes simply pulling him over the falls. The train sequence was my favourite part. Mary was pretty kickass then and through the whole film. Jude Law is an amazing Watson and I certainly enjoyed his performance this time more that RDJ's.
It was a little long and I felt like it took a while to get going, but I liked the continuity, even if I thought they could have compacted some of the early stuff.
