What I liked
1. That Sam told Dean about Ruby. I liked that he told Dean she was a demon and that they could use her to keep Dean safe. Given Dean's adoration of his mother I understand why Sam's not coughing up about that just yet, but the rest of it definitely shows how they're growing.
2. "She knows what your weakness is. It's me." Oh show. You make it so easy, you really do.
3. The whole plot with the rabbit's foot. So simple, but so well written and put together. Probably the best "comedy" episode since Hell House.
4. The fact that John had Sam's tophies and Dean's old guns. I loved Sam's amazement and joy that his dad had kept them. Yes Sammy, your daddy loved you too.
5. Sam being strangled. Sam falling down. Sam losing his shoe and pouting like a three year old. And along with that, Dean's utter exasperation at the whole thing. I think it's probably how they were growing up. When Sam fell over and cut his knee when he was a kid and Dean had to wash and bandage him up, and Dean was so irritated but Sam just kept pouting until Dean gave him ice-cream or a cookie. Also, you know that Sam would have been an awkward gangly teenager who tripped over things and dropped things and Dean just had to stand there shaking his head and making sure Sam didn't kill himself.
6. Gordon in prison getting a little crazier every day, but still not being as crazy as his friends.
7. The new girl. I liked her an awful lot more than Ruby. She was pretty cool and the interaction between them all didn't make me want to throw things so I say that's well done. If I have one teensy quibble it's the fact that she's English. WHY?
8. "I'm Batman." ♥
What I didn't like
Honestly? Nothing.
Overall rating
A. Sam & Dean hunting together. Good plot. Hilarious. The boys looking HOT. Couldn't ask for more.
