Holiday Photos 2: Coast and Santa Barbara

Day 3, we drove down the Pacific Coastal Highway from Monterey to Santa Barbara.


















That drive was incredible. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.








Kerry sadly couldn't enjoy it as much as me, since she had to concentrate on all those winding roads.


Then we arrived in Santa Barbara...


...which is also beautiful.




These are the views from the courthouse clock-tower.






I was excited to be there for many reasons.






Not least of which being, I got see this.


Though it is irritating to everyone I watch Psych with now, as my commentary tends to be "I've been there" at every establishing shot.






And I found this on the pier, so I had to take a photo.






We had dinner on the pier and I got this fantastic cocktail.


They hollow out a pineapple and fill it with alcohol.


I took it with me when we went and some guy cycling past shouted "Nice pineapple!" Santa Barbara is weird, but awesome.


We went for a walk along the beach...




...watched the sunset...


...then Kerry buried my leg.

I was TOTALLY thinking Shawn Spencer! when I saw that massive pineapple cocktail. That's awesome!

I've gotta go there sometime, that town looked gorgeous.

I named him Shawn. I wasn't going to get a cocktail until I realised it came in a pineapple. Then I had no choice.

Its so beautiful. I want to live there myself.

He more or less chased everyone out of his hospital room with his charming personality...aka, he's currently being a grumpy asshole. So yeah, he's doing better. :p I know this kid.
